Autor pojednává diplomatickou kariéru rytíře Bořity z Martinic (†1478) a paralelně uplatňované atributy deklarace sociálního vzestupu: především budování Smečna (střední Čechy), posléze až do 18. století stabilní rezidence pánů z Martinic (rezidenční hrad, rodová nekropole, počátky vzestupu vsi – od 1515 města).

Author discusses the diplomatic career of the knight Bořita of Martinice († 1478) and his parallel declaration of attributes of social climbing: to them in the first place belonged the concept of building of Smečno (Central Bohemia), until 18th century a stable residential locality of the Lords of Martinice (residential castle, family necrople, the beginnings of the rise of the village – since 1515 city).
