Studie se zaměřuje na osud jedné z nejvýznamnějších stran první republiky, totiž Německé sociálně demokratické strany dělnické v ČSR, a její odumření v republice druhé. V kritických dnech první republiky se jako celek zachovala státotvorně. Mnichovský verdikt zabránil tomu, aby její členové splnili vlasteneckou povinnost obrany vlastní domoviny. Přes různé diskuze o dalších možnostech působení strany v politickém systému pomnichovského Česko-Slovenska a vyčkávací taktice se její činnost soustředila především na zajištění sociální pomoci německým uprchlíkům z pohraničí a různá vyjednávání o emigračních možnostech pro ohrožené funkcionáře.

The study draws attention to the fate of one of the most important pages first republic, namely the German Social Democratic Party in Czechoslovakia, and its death in the Second Republic. In the critical days of the First Republic as a whole maintained statist. Munich verdict had prevented its members meet the patriotic duty of Defense's own homeland. Through various discussions on further action by the political system Czech-Slovakia and holding tactics, her work focused mainly on the provision of social assistance to refugees from the German border and the various negotiations for emigration possibilities for threatened officers.
