AnnotationThe sensor is based on the principle of Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). In this system, an energy absorbed by a chromophore (donor) is transferred nonradiatively to a fluorophore (acceptor) by dipole-dipole coupling through a linking chain. quantum dots (QDs) with high extinction coefficients and sulphorhodamine B are used as donors and acceptors. The molecule of our sensor consists of three parts.
