The spatial navigation abilities of two groups of MCI patients were evaluated by virtual version of the Hidden goal task, performed only on a computer monitor. In spite of their similar performance in standard neuropsychology tests, patients with a hippocampal type of cognitive impairment showed worse results than the other group with a non-hippocampal type. The virtual test of potential wide use therefore provided results similar to an identical previously published test performed in a real space
