AnnotationThe main objective of this paper is to determinate the extent of the economic hinterland of Early Medieval Bohemian strongholds on the basis of spatial analysis of the archaeological evidence and written sources. For this purpose, four Early Medieval centres in Litoměřice, Libice nad Cidlinou, Prácheň and Stará Boleslav were selected. As a background to the spatial analyses, the mapping of Early Medieval archaeological finds and princely donations to ecclesiastical institutions was used.
