AnnotationSystematic monitoring of torsion (swivelling) of guyed mast shafts has been performed in ITAM since 2005. The occurrence of this phenomenon is conditioned by the fact that the guy ropes are attached to the surface of the shaft, i.e. out of its axis. The presented three examples of experimental verification describe the analysis of dynamic response of the shaft. The torsion (swivelling) of the shaft is very little and insignificant for the stress of the shaft. But it is important for the quality of broadcasted (e.g.) telephone signal in case of longer transmission distance.
