AnnotationThe paper deals with strongly non-linear behaviour of a vibration absorber being based on a principle of a heavy ball rolling inside a spherical dish. There are discussed stable, critical and post-critical response regimes as well as interaction with an original construction. Results obtained by means of theoretical analysis are compared with those received by experimental measurements in laboratory and in-situ on existing structures.
