Annotation	Epileptogenesis is defined as a process leading from brain insult to occurrence of spontaneous epileptic seizures. Relevant experimental models of epileptogenesis in developing brain afford possibility to search for mechanisms involved in this process as well as for new therapeutic strategies. Present review brings overview of available models of acquired epilepsies in developing animals
