The geometrical data for a 1D model of the acoustic cavities of the vocal tract were evaluated from magnetic resonance images (MRI) registered during sustained phonation of vowel [a:] before and after a vocal warm-up. The numerically simulated voice signals are compared with the acoustic recordings and warm-up related changes in the vocal tract are discussed.
