Článek shrnuje poznatky ze studia povrchových textur křemenných zrn. Pro studium byly vybrány referenční vzorky z nezpevněnných sedimenty rozdílné ale známé geneze. Statisticky byly potom vyhodnoceny textury které jsou pro daný typ genetického procesu typické.

The article deals withgenetic types of unlithified sediments and their characteristics with emphasis on quartz grain surface microrelief. Reference samples were choosen from geomorphological landforms of known origin. The significant structures typical for each type of proceeses taking place during the origin were than described.
