During Palaeogene the Jurassic limestone plate was incorporated into the Krosno Nappe Group accretionary wedge, later the limestone was cut by ramps and thrusted over along flat detachments that developed at the base of limestone and at the top in the Upper Cretaceous deposits. This created fault-related folds, which were at last faulted by the sinistral strike–slip faults.
