Mukařovského Záměrnost a nezáměrnost v umění, původně proslovené roku 1943 v Pražském lingvistickém kroužku, a klade si otázku, zda se s touto prací, jež vznikla v samém závěru Mukařovského strukturalistického období, proměnil Mukařovského celkový náhled na umělecké dílo. Zaměřila se na detailní analýzu vztahů (jejich kontexty, jejich setkávání, vzájemný poměr) mezi trojicí pojmů: dílo, znak a záměr. V proměnách jejich pojetí je možné sledovat i posuny ve směřování Mukařovského strukturalistické koncepce; uvedené pojmy tvoří její základní stavební kameny. Description in English The author's starting point is Mukařovský's Záměrnost a nezáměrnost v umění (Intentionality and Un-intentionality in art, which was originally presented to the Prague Linguistic Circle in 1943), and he asks whether with this essay, written at the very close of Mukařovský's structuralist period, Mukařovský's overall view of the work of art was changed. This essay seeks to provide a detailed analysis of the relations (its contexts and encounters) between the three terms: the work, the sign, and intention. In the changes that Mukařovský's understanding and usage of the three terms underwent one can also observe, on the one hand, not only shifts in Mukařovský's structuralist conception, which is underpinned by these terms, but on the other hand also its deep internal cohesion and continuity.
