Annotation	The paper maps publication outcomes of Czech sociologists in journals with impact factor within the last decade. Our work is based on data from the Web of Science and covers the 1998 to 2007 period. Publication outcomes for sociology are presented within the context of the whole field of social sciences. Our analysis shows that similar authors rank among the first fifty using the selected indicators of impact factor and citation indexes. The order differs fairly strongly according to the indicator selected, however. It turns out that publication-wise, there are rather strongly differentiated groups of sociologists also in the Czech Republic.
