Rukopis vznikl v posledních letech před vypuknutím 1. světové války a jeho autory byli pražský gymnaziální profesor Josef Soukup (uměleckohistorické pasáže a kreslené plány objektů) a znalec regionální historie, ředitel jedné z vesnických škol okresu Jan Valchář (historické úvody). V první části úvodní stati se editoři věnovali historii vzniku tohoto svazku a krátkými medailony připomněli oba autory, do druhé části zařadili formální a textový rozbor rukopisu a charakteristiku obrazové dokumentace. Description in English Following the edited version of the Inventory of the Pardubice District, this is the second volume to be published by the Institute of Art History, AS CR, based on previously unpublished texts originally intended for the inventory project of the Archaeological Commission of the Czech Academy of Science and Art. The manuscript was compiled in the last few years before the outbreak of the First World War, and its authors were the grammar school teacher Josef Soukup (the art history passages and the plans of the buildings) and the regional history expert Jan Valchář, the head teacher of one of the village schools in the district (the historical introductions). The first part of the introductory essay by the editors is devoted to the history of how the volume came about and short biographical sketches of the two authors, while the second part includes an analysis of the form and text of the manuscript and the characteristics of the pictorial documentation.
