AnnotationWe studied the optical afterglow (OA) of the gamma-ray burst GRB 090726, which we observed by our robotic CCD telescope with the D 50 cm mirror. We explained the superimposed short flare by activity of the central engine. This OA is the representative of the least luminous ones and its initial Lorentz factor may even lie on the lower end of the range observed in GRBs. Neither the dust nor the gaseous component of the circumburst medium underwent any evolution during the decay of this OA.
