AnnotationSome theoretical models of solar flares suggest rebrightenings of chromospheric flare ribbons as a consequence of interaction of large-scale plasmoids with flare loops. We studied one observation whose features resembled predicted re-brightenings. However, our analysis shows, that repeated chromospheric brightening should be attributed rather to the subsequent homologous flare occurring in the same active region than to the plasmoid/loop-top interaction predicted by the model.
