Základní charakteristiky Blanice jsou následující: délka 62,4 km, průměrný průtok v ústí do Sázavy 2,94 m3, průměrný spád toku 6,7 m/km, průměrná délka úseku bezi migračními bariérami 2,712 km. Tři druhy hrouzek obecný, jelec tloušť a plotice obecná tvořily 75 % celkové abundance registrovaných rybích společenstev. Celková abundance rybích společenstev na 7 zkoumaných úsecích kolísala v rozmezí 715 až 3025 ks.ha -1. Druhová skladba rybího osídlení je ovlivňována rybářským managementem a rovněž z rybníků v povodí Blanice se do toku dostávají některé další druhy. Mihule potoční se ve zkoumané části toku Blanice vyskytuje pouze ojediněle, početnější výskyt byl zjištěn v přítocích. Description in English During electrofishing in 1994-2006 in all 23 fishes were registered in the middle reaches of the river Vlašimská Blanice (Central Bohemia, tributary of the river Sázava, Labe basin). The main characteristics of this river are as follow: the length of the river - 62,4 km; the average water discharge at the mouth of this river - 2,94 m3; the average slope of water - 6,7 m/ km of the river; the average section between adjacent barriers (mostly weirs) - 2,712 km. Three species (Gobio gobio, Leuciscus cephalus, Rutilus rutilus) formed altogether over 75% of total abundance found ichtyocenosis. The ranges of abundance of fishes in 7 investigated sections of the river Vlašimská Blanice were found between 715-3025 exx. per hectare. The ichtyofauna of the place is influenced by angling management. and it is enriched due to fishing out in ponds. Besides the Lampetra planeri occurs rarely in the main channel stream, more often were specimens registered in some its tributaries.
