Poukazuje na to, že tvary věcí v tomto literárním díle mají povahu sedimentovaného rytmu časového procesu; věci a bytosti vystupují jako části dynamického celku.Tato struktura není pouze rysem soukromého světa jednoho spisovatele, ale souvisí právě s podstatou poetičnosti. Description in English The author attempts to answer the question what is poeticity by means of the interpretation of several fragments from the novel of Julien Gracq entitled King Cophetua. He shows that the shapes of things in this literary work have the nature of a sedimented rythm of the time process; things and living beings manifest themselves as parts of a dynamic whole. This structure is not a trait of a private world of one writer alone but rather is connected namely with the essence of poeticity.
