AnnotationIt is known that Fe(III) aquacomplexes were proved to be efficient photocatalyst to induce the complete mineralisation of variety of pollutants. There are several crystalline polymorphs of iron oxohydroxide present in soil as well as marine sediments. Goethite was found as one of the most common components of sediments in the Gulf of Triest.
