    Stress wave propagation in a thin disc under radial impact loading is studied theoretically. The solution is based on analytical(integral fransform method and method of separation of variables) and numerical (finite element method) approaches. The influence of some geometrical imperfections (slits) on signal spreading is investigated as well.
