Annotation
Autoři v článku hodnotí průběh a obsah konference “Darwin Colloquium” (Christ’s College, Cambridge, UK), a dále velké výstavy “Darwin – Big Idea – Big Exhibition” (NHM London). Obě akce se konaly vedle řady dalších u příležitosti velkého dvojitého výročí Charlese Darwina (200 let od narození a 150 let od vydání Původu druhů). Autoři v článku obě akce řadí do širšího kontextu recepce Darwinova díla a darwinismu v Evropě a smyslu velkých výročí pro dějiny vědy.

The authors took part of the “Darwin Colloquium” (Christ’s College, Cambridge, UK), which was one of the many celebrations of the “Darwin Bicentenary” (1809–2009) worldwide and as well a presentation of the recently published double-volumed collective monograph The Reception of Charles Darwin in Europe (Continuum: London – New York 2008).
