A. Vilenkin ve své knize zkoumá možnosti života v kosmu. My žijeme v jednom z možných vesmírů, který vznikl velkým třeskem. Hledá se teorie všeho, jejímž základem je teorie strun. Z expandujícího moře vakua (nicoty) mohou podle Vilenkina vznikat jednotlivé vesmíry univerza. Je třeba se odevzdat nezbadatelnému tajemství bytí.

A. Vilenkin in his book contemplates the possibilities of life in the cosmos. We live in the one of the plausible world-whole which arises from Big bang. We are seeking the theory of all whose base is string-theory. According to Vilenkin, from the expanding mare of vacuum (nothingness) can emerge the individualized world-wholes of the universe. It is worth it to yield one's self to the unfathomable qualities of the mystery of being.
