AnnotationA cumulative damage model has recently proved to solve fatigue problems of steel structures under alternating plastification conditions. For that purpose, the extremely low cycle effect is in accordance with the three parts of damage phenomenon, caused by (i) tensile straining, (ii) ductility exhaustion dutiny cyclic straining, and (iii) crack propagation. The damage owing to the exhaustion mentioned dominates the fatigue damage at the large level of the plastic deformation increase whereas the damage due to crack propagation dominates at the small level of the stated increment.
