In this work we studied the ability of microsatellite (CGG)n, releated to FRAXA syndrome, to form guanine quadruplexes. We show that this microsatellite do not form quadruplex easily in an aqueous solution, the presence of AGG triplets, typical for healthy individuals, facilitates the quadruplex formation and that the presence of ethanol as a molecular crowding compound leads to the stabilization even of (CGG)16.
V práci jsme studovali schopnost tvorby guaninových kvadruplexů mikrosatelitem (CGG)n, spojeným s onemocněním FRAXA. Ukázali jsme, že tento mikrosatelit tvoří kvadruplex ve vodném prostředí velmi neochotně, přítomnost AGG tripletů, typických pro zdravé jedince napomáhá tvorbě kvadruplexů a přítomnost etanolu jako činidla simulujícího vysokou koncentraci molekul vede ke stabilizaci kvadruplexu i (CGG)16.
