It was shown, that polymer forms smectic phase and cholesteric supramolecular helical structure displaying the selective light reflection in IR spectral range. Thin spin-coated films of the polymer were prepared and their photo- and chirooptical properties were studied in detail. Circular dichroism (CD) measurements revealed the formation of the helical supramolecular structure even in the initial spin-coated polymer films.
