AnnotationFast infrared (IR) camera was used on the TCV tokamak to study energy deposition on the outer divertor target. THEODOR code was used to derive the heat flux from the IR surface temperature data in the presence of co-deposited layers. We observe that ELMs are composed of filaments with toroidal mode number between 5 and 15. Although not an ELM phenomena, an observation of strike point splitting in extremely low density L-mode plasmas will also be presented, believed to be due to field line ergodisation, probably due to mode activity.
