AnnotationGenetical variation of Phragmites australis was studied using molecular methods (microsatellite analysis) within the catchments of Cidlina and Mrlina rivers and adjacent section of Labe river. The dispersal along river corridors (possibly by water or wind) as well as intensive exchange of propagules by wind among river systems were found. Spatial autocorrelation analysis revealed an evidence for pollen and seed dispersal at short distances (up to 1 km), and further spread (probably only by seeds) on long distances up to 10 km.
