AnnotationUniformity of the phase structure in polystyrene/polyamide/polyethylene and related binary blends was studied. Coexistence of areas containing particles with strongly different average particle size was found in all blends under study. The effect is a consequence of non-uniform flow field in a mixing device and its neglecting can lead to detrimental error at determination of the particle size dependence on system parameters.
