The circadian clocks control the timing of behavioral and physiological functions in most organisms studied. A hypothesis is suggested that during ontogenesis, the immature clocks might be first driven by external entraining cues and later gradually develop to become a self-sustained clocks
Cirkadiánní hodiny časově řídí behaviorální a fyziologické funkce u většiny studovaných organismů. V práci je formulována hypotéza, že během ontogeneze jsou nezralé hodiny nejprve řízeny vnějšími synchronizačními vlivy a teprve později se vyvíjejí v samostatně fungující hodiny
