AnnotationPaper introduces a simple model - in the form of ordinary differential equations - for evaluation of spatial distributions of various quantities of interest in synthetic jets. It uses one-equation model of turbulence and the Tollmien hypothesis of the length scale of the vortices. Experiments show that a constant in the model varies with the streamwise distance from the nozzle. This variation leads to the new concept of quasisimilarity. An interesting fact is a sudden change in the character of the dependence at a distance of 30 nozzle diameters.
