AnnotationResveratrol and silymarin reduce toxic effects induced in rat hepatocytes by tert-butylhydroperoxide. Their protective effects depend on suppression of the inducible nitric oxide synthase (NOS-2) and hemoxygenase-1 (HO-1) gene expression.
