    AnnotationBased on the tests, conducted on steel plate girders where web panels are subjected to many times repeated predominantly shear, the authors establish user-friendly formulae for (i) maximum web slenderness, (ii) maximum load acting on the web such that the effect of web breathing can entirely be disregarded in the design of economic-fabrication steel bridge girders.
