AnnotationThe paper shows new approaches how to deal with data, information and knowledge in healthcare using new information technologies. Decision support systems can be based not only on data processed often by statistical methods, but their efficiency can be enhanced using knowledge extracted from different information sources, e.g. from databases by data mining, from medical guidelines etc. New tools to collected data in healthcare efficiently are based on electronic health record, where structured information plays key role for decision support and telemedicine.
