At present similar detailed examination of pedestrian dynamics has been brought about chiefly by the requirements of determining the loads on footbridges. In their case – contrary to bridges – the magnitude of dynamic response is more important than that of static response, as it determines also the serviceability of the footbridge with reference to pedestrian comfort. Our research linked up with preceding investigations. We have monitored the magnitude of vertical footfall force and its history during the footfall, the influence of striding velocity and stride length. Particular attention was afforded to the foot-fall of a group of pedestrians striding in unorganized and organized step.

V naší době podrobné zkoumání dynamiky chůze člověka bylo vyvoláno hlavně požadavkem stanovit zatížení lávek. U nich, na rozdíl od mostů, je velikost dynamické odezvy důležitější než statická, protože určuje i použitelnost lávky z hlediska komfortu chodců. Náš výzkum navázal na předcházející práce. Sledovali jsme velikost vertikální nášlapové síly a její průběh během šlápnutí, vliv rychlosti chůze a délky kroku. Zvláště byla věnována pozornost nášlapů skupiny chodců, jdoucích neorganizovaným, resp. organizovaným krokem.
