Soubor textů k českým dějinám a české filosofii. Druhý svazek obsahuje práce z pozůstalosti, které z různých důvodů nebyly publikovány za autorova života. Svazek obsahuje například obsáhlou studii o Masarykově angažmá v tzv. Hilsnerově aféře, přednášky o "příspěvku českých zemí k modernímu vědeckému ideálu" proslovené v šedesátých letech v Lovani a nedokončenou stať Co jsou Češi, v níž se zamýšlí nad smyslem českých dějin.

A collection of texts concerning Czech history and Czech philosophy. The second volume contains the works found among the author's papers after his death, which for various reasons they were not published during his lifetime. Among other works, the volume contains an extensive study on Masaryk's engagement in the so-called Hisner's affair, a book on "The Contibution of the Czech Lands to the Modern Scientific Ideal" – a series of lectures held in the 1960's at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and the unfinished essay "On the Czechs" where Patočka meditates about the meaning of Czech history.
