AnnotationPaper describes an introduction of new natural zircon reference material that will be used for U-Pb and Hf isotopic analysis of unknown natural zircon samples by laser ablation ICP-MS. Thorough investigation of physical and chemical properties of Plesovice zircon allowed its detailed characterization, which is necessary for accurate and precise standardization protocol during in-situ isotopic analysis. Approximately 500g of good quality zircon crystals have been separated and is available for scientific community.
