AnnotationSeventeen additional minor ecdysteroid compounds were isolated and identified from the roots of Leuzea carthamoides. Eight of them are new phytoecdysteroids, e. g. carthamoleusterone is a new side-chain cyclo-ether with five-membered ring, and 14-epi-ponasterone A 22-glucoside is a rare natural 14beta-OH epimer.
