Seventeen additional minor ecdysteroid compounds were isolated and identified from the roots of Leuzea carthamoides. Eight of them are new phytoecdysteroids, e. g. carthamoleusterone is a new side-chain cyclo-ether with five-membered ring, and 14-epi-ponasterone A 22-glucoside is a rare natural 14beta-OH epimer.

Popsána je izolace, identifikace a strukturní analýza dalších sedmnácti minoritních fytoekdysteroidů z rostliny Leuzea carthamoides. Mezi nimi je osm strukturně nových ekdysteroidů, jako např. carthamoleusteron s pětičlenným cyklickým éterem v bočním řetězci, a 14-epi-ponasteron A 22-glukosid, který je ojedinělým přírodním 14beta-OH epimerem.
