Compound 3 was synthesized from 1,2-bis(chlorodimethylsilyl)ethane, 1,2,3,4-tetramethylcyclopentadienyllithium, and [TiCl3(thf)(3)] by a common procedure. Crystal structures of 2, 3, and 4 were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
