    The inflluence of cleft palate on the prononciation of vowels /a/ and /i/ is analyzed by using modal and transient analysis of the FE models of vocal tract. Time and frequency responses are calculated near teh lips and the vocal folds. Results are in reasonable agreement with clinical observations.
