Noticeable content of rare hydrated scandium phosphate - kolbeckite - was found in the clastic fraction of sediment in the filling of karst depression at the Čertovy schody quarry (Koněprusy area, Bohemian Karst). Kolbeckite was identified on the basis of X-ray powder diffraction pattern, scanning electron microscopy, chemical analyses and infrared spectroscopy.
