Annotation
The geological environment in some areas is affected by earthquake activity. On the basis of 14000 observation, including information gathered since 15th century it was possible to establish the maximum observed intensities in 4000 residential units within the territory of the Czech Republic. Two maps of seismic zones belonging to national codes in the term of macroseismic intensities and in the term of effective peak accelerations were compiled for the Czech Republic.
