An experimental study of a single circular jet issuing normally into a crossflow is described, concentrating on the turbulent vorticity transport and, consequently, on the resulting circulation decay rate of the well-known dominant contrarotating vortex pair. The crucial role of centerline vorticity transport is visualised in terms of effective turbulent vorticity fluxes.
