    Biological activities of specific ecdysteroids obtained by photochemical transformation are compared in the B-II bioassay, in which the potency reflects the affinity of binding to the ligand-binding site of the .I.Drosophila./I. ecdysteroid receptor. The C/D rings .I.trans./I.-annelation and the relatively high biological activity of the dimeric ecdysteroid analogue is discussed.
