Annotation
In vitro cultures of different plant species were screened for ability to transform PCBs. Lignin peroxidase, Mn dependent peroxidase and RBBR oxidase were identified. The role of plant peroxidases and cytochrom P450 in PCB transformation was evaluated using inhibitors and inducers of both enzymic systems. The activity released by plant cells into the medium was also studied.
