AnnotationUsing the method of two-step ç cascades we studied behaviour of photon strength functions in .sub.108 Ag, .sub.116 In, .sub.125 Te, .sub.144,146 Nd, .sub.150 Sm, .sub.156,158Gd, .sub.163 Sm and .sub.168 Er. Besides the detailed information for individual nuclei a large amount of experimental data allows us to look for general trends in the mass region incorporating spherical, transitional and deformed nuclei.
