AnnotationThe cross sections for the production of .sub.7 Be, .sub.22Na, .sub.24 Na, .sub.28S, .sub.38 Cl and .sub.39 Cl nuclei from .sub.112 Sn, .sub.118 Sn, .sub.120 Sn, and. sub.124 Sntargets irradiated with O.6-, 1.0-, and 8.1 -GeV protons were measured byt the method of induced activity. In analyzingresulting data, it was established that the above nuclei areproduced in the fragmentation process and that the reactioncross section is a power-law function of the mass and chargenumbers of fragmentation products. A strong dependence of the reaction cross section on the nucleonic composition of thetargets and of the products is observed. The measured crosssections, together with data available in the literature, arediscussed within various assumptions.
