The effects of hydrodynamics regimes of template removal process on accessibility of zeolite channel systems was investigated. The regimes used were (i) N2 or air flows through a crystal layer (ii) N2 or air flows in parallel to crystal layer. TPA-silicate-1-90.DEG.-intergrowths with well defined morphology were calcined using a temperature program. The crystals after template removal were characterized by nitrogen adsorption at 77K, light microscopy, electron microscopy for chemical adsorption (ESCA) and elemental analysis.
