AnnotationResults of preliminary investigations of applicability of small punch tests of small thin discs in a description of welds are presented. Two basic types of these tests, i.e., tests under constant penetrating force and tests under constant penetrating rate of the puncher, were performed at 873 K. Both types of the tests seem to be suitable tools for the weld analyses. Methodical problems of the application of these tests are discussed.
