This study aims on preparation of both high- and low-crosslinked PHEMA sheets differing in porosity, water content, and surface area, and also on investigation whether these matrices may serve as carriers of embryonic stem cells. The data suggest that PHEMA hydrogels are likely candidates for application in trasplantation therapies involving ES cells.
